Family Fun Day

Steven and I got very very brave today, and ventured out with all 4 kids into the land of putt putt! Boy was it an interesting time, and well worth laying out for you.

Highlight #1: Jacob got a yellow putter and a yellow ball!

Highlight #2: Jacob got his first hole in one today on a hole that totally sucked for the rest of us!!

Highlight #3: Sydney choked on a cheerio.

Highlight #4: Christopher had a cow when, on his 14th stroke, Steven told Jacob just to help him put the ball in the hole. So Jacob picked up his ball and dropped it in the hole for him. Wow. He sat down and pouted and refused to participate for the next 3 or 4 holes.

Highlight #5: When Christopher finally decided to come back to the game, and we got to the last hole (which deposits the ball back into the cashier's office) he had a cow over the hole taking his ball. He reminded us that it took his ball for the next hour.

Highlight #6: We went and ate at a mexican restaurant that we'd never been to before--FABULOUS FOOD! and the wait wasn't even that long! (Big deal when you have 4 kids along!)

Highlight #7: Christopher choked on a chip, which was quite the drama. I had to run and get a waitress to grab him a cup of water while we pounded on his back, and he cried and coughed and freaked out that the chip was stuck and wouldn't go down. This in turn made Ashley freak out. She hopped out of her seat and was yelling, "He's Choking!!" over and over again. So now that we're the center of attention, she states she's done eating chips, and when Jacob asks why, she yells at him, "BECAUSE HE'S CHOKING!"

Highlight #8: Steven stuck a glob of guacamole on his fajita, only to be informed by Ashley that he was eating "monster boogers."

Highlight #9: Sydney ate her first piece of lettuce and tomato. I was eating my salad and attempting to keep her paws out of my plate, which didn't work too well. Before I knew it she had a handful and stuffed it into her mouth. Thankfully her first taste of the veggies apparently was enjoyable, as she then had more.

It was a ton of fun, drama and laughs! More pics are up here!

**Photo blog is private, so if you would like to see them, just let me know and I can add you! As long as you're not a weirdo!!

Those are lots of great highlights. Your family outings sound a lot like ours; full of tantrums, drama, and fun.
